Welcome To The
YaHu Baby Names Website!
For thousands of years, The Name of the Creator, YaHuWaH, has been for a large part forgotten.  Omitted from the English translations of Scripture, the Name of our Heavenly Father is almost completely unheard on the tongue of the Believer in Yeshua (Jesus.)

There was a time...

When The Name of YaHuWaH was spoken frequently, throughout Israel.  There was a time when His Name was spoken in greeting...

“And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, YaHuWaH be with you. And they answered him, YaHuWaH bless thee."  Ruth 2:4

There was a time when oaths were made
in His Name...

“Thou shalt fear YaHuWaH thy Elohim, and serve Him, and shalt swear by His Name." Deu 6:13

There was a time when praises were made
to His Name...

“Therefore will I give thanks unto Thee, O YaHuWaH, among the heathen, and sing praises unto Thy Name."  Psalms 18:49

Now Is The Time...

To restore all of these things to our generation, so that our children may know The Name, YaHuWaH.

One of the most powerful ways we can proclaim The Name to our generation, is by reviving the Hebrew Names of Scripture that declare the Hebrew Name of the Creator.

A Powerful Study Resource...
YaHu Baby Names is not only a place for expecting parents, but also a powerful study resource for any believer in Yeshua the Messiah.  Each name is found in the Scriptures and is referenced with one verse and the name's Strong #.  You'll also discover the rich meanings of each Hebrew name.  And the best part is this, every Hebrew name on this site contains the shortened Name of Elohim (YaHu or YaH) within itself.  This means that each Hebrew name on this site, proclaims The Name of our Heavenly Father!

Unfortunatly, I'm not an expert on Hebrew Names.  The only way I know the applicable gender to a Hebrew name is how it is used in the Scriptures.  Therefore, if a name is shown in the Scriptures to be applied to a man, but no other mention is made to a woman having this name, then I will mark the name as a "male" name.  If the Scriptures show both a man and a woman having this name, then I mark the name as proper to be used for both a boy or a girl, and so forth.  However, it is possible that a name could only be used in reference to a man in Scripture, and still be a perfectly fine name for a woman.

The point being, just because I mark a name to be for one gender, does not necessarily mean that it is not proper for the other gender too, it just means that only that particular gender was shown in the Scriptures to have this name.
